Welcome to taking the first steps in becoming a part of the Startup Grind Chapter community. As Chapter Director you are invited to step up as the startup “mayor” within your ecosystem with the mission to connect, inspire, and educate your community of entrepreneurs. One of the main ways we accomplish this is through hosting events (in-person/virtual) for your community, selecting and referring the best startups in your ecosystem to our startup membership.
You will be asked to complete this 5 step application process in which you will share more about yourself, why you want to launch a Chapter and some additional information on how connected you are to your local ecosystem. Once a brief video is submitted about yourself and your application is successful, one of the Community Managers will be in touch to set up a brief interview.
Once accepted into our community you are required to complete the Director Certification training course. This is a self-paced course in which you'll have 4 weeks to complete it. Directors and Co-Directors will gain the tools and knowledge you need in order to grow your Chapter and begin hosting stellar events.
Startup Grind Classic (SGc): Build a robust startup community by leading monthly Startup Grind events in your metro area (population >300K)
Startup Grind X (SGx): Perfect for smaller cities (population less than 300K) who have a blossoming startup vibe
Startup Grind University (SGu): Spark the startup community at your university or college all throughout the semester
